What is clavicle support?

Clavicle support is used to improve posture, support or immobilize the clavicle and shoulder area following a fracture or injury. It works by holding the shoulders back.

Who needs clavicle support?

It is used by patients having clavicle fracture or weakness of the clavicle. It is also used by patients with posture problems that result in side effects of poor posture such as negative physical appearance, headaches, back, neck or shoulder pain, and fatigue.

Why is clavicle support needed?

A clavicle fracture (or broken collarbone) can occur due to a sports injury, car accident, or falling off of a bicycle, etc. Clavicle support is then needed as they limit the mobility, twisting, and turning of the upper body.

They hold the collarbone and back in the correct alignment by forcing the shoulders to be in a bent back position. It provides the appropriate level of stabilization that is needed to heal the injury.
